Margaret Axford will be the guest speaker at the next Cloyne and District Historical Society general meeting on Monday, November 20th 1 pm at the Barrie Community Hall. Margaret will talk about the founding of Land o’ Lakes Community Services and subsequently Pine Meadow Nursing Home – the situation in the community without these organizations, the need which arose for them and how the community reacted to that need – people who came forward to help fill in the gap. The community before LOLCS was basically made up of small communities.  How did those communities come together in order to work together to be of greater use to the entire population?  Come and join us.
