Licensing Terms

The CDHS is participating in The Commons on Flickr to further the Society’s educational mission and increase public access to its Content (collection of historical photographs, documents, audio and videos).

Before sharing this Content on Flickr, CDHS consulted with the donors of content to determine that there are no known copyright restrictions and that no rightful copyright holder can be identified. The CDHS may share Content whose copyright is owned by a third party, but only with the third party’s explicit permission.

To the best of our knowledge, we see no reason that this Content should not be available to the public for personal research and enjoyment; however, we cannot deny the possibility that the sharing of this content may inadvertently infringe upon the rights of copyright holders unknown to us. The user of the Content must understand that the CDHS cannot guarantee that your private use of the Content shared on The Commons will not violate the rights of unidentified copyright holders, and the CDHS cannot be responsible for any liability resulting from your use of this Content.

Permitted Uses

The Cloyne and District Historical Society (CDHS) allows personal, educational and other non-commercial uses of the Content on the following terms:

• You must cite the source of the Content (Cloyne and District Historical Society) as you would material from any printed work.
• You must also cite and link when possible, the CDHS Flickr site https://www.flickr.com/photos/cdhs/ and include the © copyright symbol as the source of the Content.
• You may not remove any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices including attribution information, credits and notes that are placed in or near the text, images or data.

 Unauthorized Uses Require Written Permission

You may not use the CDHS Flickr Content for commercial purposes. This means that you may not sell the Content or sell materials, products or services that use and incorporate the Content, nor may you use the Content to promote or advertise products or services. If you wish to use the Content for any purpose beyond the permitted uses, such as a commercial use or publication you must obtain prior written permission from the CDHS.
